[mp3] Tim Hecker – “The Piano Drop”

With the highly anticipated release of Tim Hecker’s devastating drone/noise tour de force Ravedeath, 1972 right around the corner, Kranky has released the album opening “The Piano Drop” as a second free download, following “Hatred of Music I” last month.  The latest song, along with the brilliant cover art, is named from the MIT tradition of dropping a piano from the top of the Baker building every spring to commemorate the last day one is allowed to drop classes.  Check out the unofficial video below made by the Guylum Bardot website.
